* for DELL Alienware 17 R5 keyboard, there are 2 types:

1. Normal RGB Backlit version

2. Per key RGB backlit version in which you can custom the color of each key backlit.

Please be aware that in this listing, we are selling the type 2 Pey-key RGB backlit version, please make sure your original keyboard is Pey-key RGB backlit version too, otherwise, it can not be compatible with your laptop. The type 1 and type 2 keyboard are not compatible with each other.

3. You need to use your old connecting cable to connect the new keyboard to your laptop mainboard.

* Please don't purchase based on part numbers only as same part number can come in different layouts. We may ship a compatible part number keyboard if an exact M.P.N. is not available in stock.

* Please clean the keyboard connector on the motherboard before you insert the keyboard cable.
